    Multi rig critique

I'm no expert but i think is the way the hook sits with the bait just above it , sort of like a chod D loop set up . dave

    Multi rig critique

I wouldnt say advantages is the right word ... every rig has its time and place to be used on any given day one will out fish the other and vice versa ... best bit of advice is find a rig you have confidence in and stick with it ... the main reason i use the hinged stiff rig is most of the places i fish are old silty lakes and i can use that rig for 90% of my fishing.

  5. Had a ticket and fished the place for 3 seasons for 2 fish, admittedly fished on and off. Put the hours in and you'll catch but not for the feint hearted and some proper lumps in there.

    7 weeks to go!!

7 weeks to go! Wife said she fancies "having a go" this year, so I have just bought her a cheapie Shakespeare reel off the bay and will lend her one of my spare rods. Plop a bait down in the margins and see what happens. Knowing my luck, she'll bag the biggest fish of the holiday.

  10. they are called luksees. Part of the plastic injection moulding process has an extra form at the top near the bucket rim. Its so that the moulten plastic can penetrate into the mould fully and these pieces are formed around the top of the mould as an extra part. At certain points in the production these bits will get cut up so that they can be examined to see that the ridge has been formed correctly. A kind of mould performance if you like. Anyway as already mentioned these bits have found their way into your bucket instead of being collected and fed back into the hopper. Keep hold of them as they could be collectors items in a few years. and of course im talking complete Pony.....

  14. I made the point on another thread recently that every hook, rig, etc needs to be tested as the buoyancy of every pop-up, wafter is different. I very rarely use a purchased Wafter hookbait, if I want a critically balanced hookbait, then it is a pop-up that is carefully weighted with a shot or putty, a snowman bait, bottom bait under pop-up, or a bottom bait drilled out and filled with cork or foam. That so sounds like Korda, and Ali Hamidi, and is one of the main factors on why I try not to use any of their products!

    Mainline Balanced Wafters

Richard , It looks to me that you need to spend some more of your hard earned on more korda accessories , according to ali that rig is just not a knotless knot rig , you need to add all the rest of the bits , hook stop , ring swivel and putty, once you have spent the £30 on all these bits, you then need to trim the wafter ( with your korda scissors) to get it to balance just right , not forgetting the correct weighted braided hooklength dave .
