    Korda Distance Sticks

Same as, chill. Sticks are absolutely invaluable to my angling now (not 60 quid invaluable tho....) I remember it wasn't a million years ago that I wasn't clipping up at all, let alone wrapping up. Funny how times change.

  2. Missus says she'll buy me a barrow for Crimble and I've seen this one. http://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/jrc-contact-barrow Seems ideal for the shorter sessions I generally do, and folds up really easily, (watch the video!), and quite small, which is what I'm after. Anyone one here use one/seen one in action or have other suggestions?? Not looking for anything too massive, the longest session I am likely to do over here is a 48 but usually I'm a 24hr merchant.

    Dead leaf bottoms

Worth noting that at this time of year a serious leaf fall and subsequent decomposing leaves on the bottom will drastically affect the oxygen levels in the water. If you have a lake where there is a serious leaf fall in one area, or if the wind is blowing the leaves into a bay, or to one end for example, then fishing away from this area may help. There are always exceptions of course, if there are fish showing in leafy areas obviously don't ignore them, and if the whole lake bed is covered in leaves then it won't help, but if there are no signs and the bed under your favourite tree is thick with leaves, I might consider trying somewhere else.

  4. I've had a few bits of JRC stuff over the years and always been happy with it. This one is good because it folds down to a really small size, which would please the wife as we don't have a lot of storage space at home....

  6. Just seems like a faff to me especially if you've had a fish so didn't clip back up before you reeled in . Having to reel in your other rods just to walk out one of them out, so not to leave them unattended could cost you fish . Sticks for me
