    Combi rig issue

Three of my combi's using different materials, 1/ suffix stealthskin to mouthrap 2/ 15lb kameleon to 25lb coated black silt 3/ camfusion to esp stiff All using the sinker to mask the knot. Bottom is a ring cut from a large eye swivel, palomar knot straight to the coated braid. Get on the suffix, only £5-6 a spool too !

    Combi rig issue

Bin the striptease, i find it waxy and slippy, I tie all my combis using the suffix range, camfusion & kameleon being the best, can't get the knot to slip. It will palomar to a ring ok too, A little tip when using stiff fluro, i put a large sinker on a needle, double over the line and slide on an inch, this holds the loop in place whilst you tied the albright, Once the knot it tightened down and trimmed slide the sinker over it, trim tag off fluro, voila, neat as you like

  3. Ive had the absolute priveledge of being able to fish for carp for 19+yrs, i love all aspects of the sport, including watching and appreciating the wildlife, i dont understand the current trend for drinking on the bank, these days getting the bivvy up, tv on etc before getting on with the inconvienance of getting the rods out... I know one lad who used to set up on the pond, cast out anywhich where and retire to his bivvy for a weekend of fostors tinnies, an ounce of weed and several hard core porn magazines, you wouldnt see him from one day to the next!! Personally, i dont really care if i blank, being there is enough, remember: Take nothing but photographs, Leave nothing but footprints, Kill nothing but time... We "borrow" the swim from mother nature, we should at least return it in as good a nick as we were lent it, we owe them that, litter louts, drunks, stoners, noisey neighbours, they dont deserve to see the wildlife in the close intimate way that us anglers do. As a footnote, i have no qualms with those who enjoy a can or two on the bank, just dont kick the asre out of it!

  4. Hi yes fished it a few times you have a tidy match lake ideal for float rod, ledger or pole fishing good for all ages and children accompanied! roach, rudd, tench, perch etc.toilets nearby shared with carp lake. The carp lake although small is a pleasant little lake with approx eight swims available fish can go up to mid twenties it can get busy!.Both lakes are fully gated and fenced to prevent otter predation on the wildlife and fish. Swims are tidy, the fishery rules/requirements are posted on the bailiffs cabin along with ticket prices etc, micro barbed hooks only on the carp lake.bailiff is patrolling regularly, car park available. It has been known for the EA to visit it.

    360 rig

Fair enough, horses for courses. lots of rigs seem to have their for and against. I've never seen a real issue caused by it n real life. Does any one have any real reason that it supposedly causes damage, those threads just seem to condemn it, with seemigly little more information other that they hear it causes damage. I don't disagree that it might do, but if tied correctly, i see no reason that it is any worse than the majority of rigs out there.

  10. We need them all, its each to their own but i dont like the korda films too much of an advert for my tastes. I love "a passion for angling" its the true essence of angling, that show. John Wilson is the king of fishing shows, he holds the crown for so many reasons. The carp crew with jan porter were watchable as it was so hippy and laidback, dont know why he was swapped with kev green halfway through (anyone know?) that ruined the series for me. The tips and tricks on the show were nothing groundbreaking or technical, but it was watchable.
