Marcus C Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Be careful with Bank tackle. Twice now I've bought items and have not received them. Bank tackle tell me it's the responsibility of Royal mail and Royal mail are saying it's the responsibility of Bank tackle. Either way it's happened twice, I'm out of pocket and I don't trust either company. Quote
framey Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Royal Mail are correct your contract is with bank tackle as you purchased goods from them Bank tackles’s contract is with Royal Mail as they employed them to deliver your goods. bank tackle need to chase Royal Mail for you whether the goods are worth a pound or a thousand pound that doesn’t matter. that is the law under the consumer rights act 2015. A big IF IF you had paid by a credit card and you had spent 100£ or more you could ge the money back under a section 75. IF you paid by debit card you could ask you bank for a charge back. IF you paid by PayPal you could open a claim and try your luck. 90 days I think the limit is… yonny and crusian 2 Quote

Exactly — your contract is with the seller, not the delivery company. The seller is responsible for making sure you receive your goods, and they have to chase the courier if something goes wrong. The points about payment methods are also spot on: credit cards offer extra protection under Section 75 for purchases over £100, debit cards let you request a chargeback, and PayPal gives you buyer protection if you act within their time limits. Always good to know your options depending on how you paid. Quote
