Salmo9
Can anyone help please.. I’m looking for a replacement front drag kn ob which is missing from a recent preloved purchase.. Me thought ‘no problem, Shimano will stock those things’.. How wrong could I be..!! Even an aftermarket jobby would be great.. All assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks - Salmo9. The only thing I can suggest is to call various reel repairers who have dealt with Shimano reel servicing in the past.  Felindre, Tackle Box in Kent and Bass Online would be my starting
Golden Paws
Welcome to the Site. Unfortunately the profanity filter can be a little bit sensitive at times but you'll get used to it!😄😅

Hello mate , I know nothing about Shimano’s , being a Daiwa man myself, but is it one of these ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324273109091?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=cr5uBV2KQAO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=o3DeM8ltSVu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Felindre can’t help which surprised me somewhat but I’ll look into the others you’ve quoted..  48 minutes ago, newmarket said: Hello mate , I know nothing about Shimano’s , being a Daiwa man myself, but is it one of these ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324273109091?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=cr5uBV2KQAO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=o3DeM8ltSVu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Afraid not my friend.. I have seen aftermarket ‘speed caps’ offered by Wester Developments and Custom Reel King but they tend to be listed for Daiwa and later Shimano Ultegra’s which have different drag arrangements. I’ll make a few phone calls and enquire if their products can be ‘modded’ to accommodate as an aluminium front drag cap would be much more dependable me thinks.. Many Thanks - Salmo9.. newmarket
