How deep???

What's the deepest depth in feet, a carp will feed or has been caught? 

The reason I ask is that I like the look of the water tower, on this reservoir, but know it drops off to 60ft quite quickly and it's got to be hard to present a hook bait near it, without going to the bottom.....

So I'm unsure what to do??

I don't have a definitive answer regarding the depth but I think Rob Hughes said that below 30 foot it gets so cold he has to come up pretty quick. Carp will seek out the warmest part of the lake as it is the most comfortable. I would be looking more at the inlet end of a reservoir.

I would do a lot of marker work find different depth if possible if not it would have to be an adjustable zig that would be my starting point   I fished an old brickyard a few times and that was 50ft deep but we caught them on adjustable zigs at 38-39ft

On Ardleigh every fish I caught was around the 6 foot depth, where Alton I caught in depths from 6feet down to 15feet deep.

I fished through the winter on Bundy’s pit around 10 years ago which has depths to 60ft. I caught fish down to 45ft and saw 1 caught from 55ft. Though I believe adjustable zigs are now successful.
