it's a water in wellingbourgh that a few of you have fished before.

I know it well.

Same thing happened on the big lake when the weed was treated back in 2016. Basically the dye inhibits weed growth which has exposed the silt/bloodworm beds that aren't normally revealed until late autumn. It makes the fishing much harder as it's tricky to compete with an abundance of natural food.

One thing you will always need a local tackle shop for, casters.

Also would you use tinned tuna in a ground bait, that had a 2017 use by date, found a few tins in spring water knocking about in the kitchen.

I would eat it myself if it was stored correctly and didn’t stink when opened

so I would certainly give it to fish in a lake

have you seen some of the stuff they eat lol

I did used to turn my own casters in the past, although 2 pints of maggots would only give me 1/2-3/4 pint.

Your tinned products should still be good. I was watching a programme on TV a few weeks ago, a tin of sardines from the 1960's was opened and found to be still edible with no loss of nutrition or taste after scientific testing.
