Are they value for money and do they run through a lot of batteries. I've had 2 sets so far...1st was Red Blue White Orange, all Alarms, Reciever and bivvy light performed as they should. Then for a change I went over to the ATTs, same again, good alarms, but gone back to Sonik , ALL PURPLE now. Top of my head not changed battery that many times, I was using Energiser Batteries, don't think I will use any other alrms yet. Quote
framey Posted March 6, 2020 Report Posted March 6, 2020 As a balanced view I know someone who has a set of the ones from around 2017 or 18 and has to put a new set of batteries in on a Sunday afternoon on a weekend session. mind you he doesn’t turn them off and winds his lines through the alarms !! Red n Blue 1st set...Sonik...Think I only changed batteries once in about 6month...2nd to lowest sensitivity and no night light at night. Red n Blue...ATTs...only used twice and put in new batteries. 2nd Set....Purple Soniks used twice so far... ALL alarms n Receivers I use Energizer Ultimate Batteries. B B 1 Quote
elmoputney Posted March 6, 2020 Report Posted March 6, 2020 I think as an alarm they are great nice and sensitive when you need it, give good indication and work, I do find battery life is a bit pants though, but I just keep a load of spares in my bag for when they start beeping, I do think low quality batteries drain a lot faster, I got some amazon industrials last time and they seem to hold up a bit better, but they handle all weather, if I could be bothered I would remove the batteries after each session but generally I am in a rush and forget 😁 ... 1 Quote
