What size IQ2 would you recommend for hook links carp to 30lb on venues with minimum weed

 

I was considering the 20lb , comments ?

I'd be using 10 or 12lb if there were minimal weed and snags.

There's nothing to be ashamed of mate, especially as you caught with it.

 

I've always fished as lightly as possible, but that's not to say it's the only way.

Well theres food for thought there dal thats for sure .

For more than 30 years in my fishing it was considered criminal to even contemplate fishing a hooklink that was heavier than the mainline , so i know exactly how you are thinking .

When i fish with mono i tend to fish with 12 or sometimes even 10lb line but i wouldnt dare go with 8lb or lighter hooklinks unless i was surface fishing ?

I used to always use IQ in 12lb. Even though it's a fairly limp material I use to do well using it for zigs too short to medium length.
