If you could fish at any lake/fishery in the Uk?

Hi Guys,

I am fairly new to carp fishing but my best mate goes out every 2 weeks without fail.

He is getting married next year and as his best man and best mate I want to go away for a long weekend or a week at an amazing carp lake.

This could be either for location and setting or for monster carp but preferably both!

So i'm looking for your help. If you were asked where would you want to go,anywhere in the UK what would the ultimate fishing destination be?

I really appreciate any suggestions you may have as I want to make it really special (the only one i have come up with so far is redmire!)

Thanks,

You might have trouble getting on redmire, they only take bookings one morning in early january each year

If your looking in the Shropshire area you can't disregard Birch Pool. Details can be found in the adverts in Carpworld.

Ideal size for the two of you, nice fish, good facilities and partners welcome. Oh - and a bit of history.

Your also close to a good pub in the village if you fancied a few hours away from the lake.

Chilham Mill has an awesome stock of fish, not sure how the tickets work for it though? Think its pre-booking, but, I could be wrong.

You would need to be a member of MKF.
