Guest reizend
Anyone else had problems with this stuff. I had the 15lb hybrid and lost 2 very good fish to it snapping at the figure of eight knot. I talked to them at Korda and they said that they had taken the 15lb off the market and replaced it with the 20lb. I was told not to steam the knots but to straighten the line in hot water. Guess what, the fish I had been after for the last few months snapped me at the knot again. Anyone got a better idea Kik-bak maybe

hopefull
using stealth-skin in 25lb for my bottom-bait combi rigs, had no complaints yet. plus the inner braid is the same colour as the outer 'skin', so no colour-clashes when stripped back
jasoncoggins
the black stealth skin......amazing stuff.. and if your after something with a boit of stiffness try the old mono......very few pepole use it nowdays been on the korda iq soft aswell, cant fault it
shakey
KIK BAK all the way. and it comes in clear or green I threw my spool of Kik-bak away. Everytime I tried to tie a knot to the swivel and tried to bed it down tight the outer would come away at the knot
pineaplepopup
i did notice this with a certain knot sorry i dont no the name but i tried a few other knots with it and it was fine. its the only braid i can honestly say ive never had a problem with especially while playing a fish
shakey
With fairness to Armaled, I spoke to one of their guys at a carp show and he did try and talk me through some knots that would of worked. Unfortunately, the Gremlins had got into my head and it had to go in the bin. I know a couple of guys who love the stuff, it just wasn't for me. tonybranno
Ive got a lot of confidence in the green 15lb BS Snakebite. I love the stuff.
ossymerlin
true, 15lb Hybrid has been taken off the market, and I think we all know why.... just keeps on snapping. For a better alternative, use pallatrax Steamlink, even in 15lb! It is a dyneema braid in the centre, making it stronger than Hybrid. For short, and very stiff hooklinks I use this with full confidence.

Yes mate it's great stuff Even better that i get it for free I've found it best when tying knots to tie submerged in warm water, as they form better and the outer remains intact
armopoint
Hybrid is rubbish had it snap on me a couple of times. Snakebite is the one, very stiff and in my mind far superior to mantis

pherron
am a big fan of the suffix range at the moment - sheath skin - kameleon and black silt I have found that the outer skin on kik-bak does have a tendancy to move up and down the rig once used for a bit
neilscatchin
Yeah I'm doing ok on the Black Silt too
