phildalton1982 reacted to nigewoodcock in fox royale 60" brolly
I had no complaints with the room. Done a few 4 and 5 night sessions under it. I am only an inch taller than being a dwarf though!!!

My mate Colin loves his Power Brolly
I have the Hardcore Brolly myself, and no complaints about that either.

For less money look at the TFG Power Brolly
https://www.totalfishinggear.co.uk/buy.cfm/tfg-bivvies-and-brollies/tf-gear-power-brolly-shelter/39/no/43620
An overwrap is also available
The TFG brollies have had a few threads on here about them, may be worth a search
I would like to offer positive reports on Fox brolly systems, but after this week I shall say nothing...

phildalton1982 reacted to cyborx in Newbie Carp Rigs
why are you starting off with so many rigs??
6" hooklink with a knotless knot and a short hair has been catching carp for generations and is still a good place to start.
the addition of a rig ring to create a blowback rig is the next logical step and every rig that is in use now is just a variation on the theme,
kicker here, shrink tube to hold the hair on the bend there.
there is an old adjective that i always think applies more to fishing than anything else and that is ''slowly, slowly catchee monkey''
start small and build YOUR OWN style from there would be my advice

dayvid, i think if you do the math you will find that your suggestion is a little bit more than a bit more, in fact it is fast approaching 4 times as much

Got to be Fox.
To this day I carry around a 20 yr old Fox Micron M. It's a spare for when my £500 quid set goes wrong, which they have done on several occasions.
That mouldy old micron has never let me down. I think I've only changed the battaeries twice in those 20 years. It cost 20 quid and is the only alarm I've had that has never had even the slightest problem.

phildalton1982 got a reaction from David_Ridgers in MAINLINE what is everyone using?
And this is my point, if they were cruising about top layers you wouldnt be getting liners and if your line was pinned down it stands to reason the only way to get a liner was if as you say were bumping into line as it enters the water. So i would put a bait under the rod tips on which ever rod you had liners
