Hi Chris, Do you still need the measurement ?

I have got a set of them, initially I brought just the one but I ended up buying 3 ! I am fishing in France at the moment, but I can measure 1 when I'm back home .

I've not fished it for a few years but I've had a few out. I find that if it is busy the fish switch off. I done well on halibut pellets fished near to the island and the margins fish very well, but the island is snaggy in places so watch out. Last time i fished it I had some idiot casting from the otherside of the lake into the margin of the swim next to me, so watch out for that!!! Quite a few get caught on the top aswell so that's worth a try! The bailiff is a nice guy and will give you advice. If the specimen lake is busy the match lake is always worth a cast, good for a bend in the rod and there is quite a lot of mid doubles and 20,s which come out quite regularly.

Thanks for your replies guys ! I've never tried the chod rig out until recently and the first time using it was successful, so it is definitely a rig I want to use more. I also like the anti tangle properties ! I know not everyone is a fan of the chod rig but It is a rig I will be trying out more often.

Common of 20lb. I tied it up just using some ammnesia from my tackle box, just wondering what everyone else uses!

I've had nothing that big out of there! I've had carp and cats to low 20,s in there and loads of mid doubles

What's your biggest out of there mate ? I've Been using premier baits boilies lately mate.

Ok cheers mate.. I've always done well on boilies at charlies I don't think I've used pellet on there before, might give them a go next time

Will you have to pre book to fish loggies do you know? I would imagine with only 18 swims there will be people queuing up to get on there!! I like charlies it just gets busy in summer! Not fished it since it's been taken over by the new owner apparently he has been doing the swims up and improving the place. I will be doing a few sessions on there this year... I wonder if he managed to sort out the rat problem there!

Yea they sold chilham a while ago and I heard rumours they where getting rid of more lakes or turning some into day ticket waters. I wonder how much they will charge for a season ticket on there in the new season ? I always fancied doing a few seasons on mid kent, they have some awesome looking waters!
