  1. Yeah defo the pigment fella.
  2. I did not I'll be re-spooling with the 18 lb again in the coming weeks. I'll keep my eye on that!
  3. I quite like the colour Chill..... pop it on the deck next time your down the pond, it blends in pretty well with almost anything. Do know what you mean though - when I fist spooled up it surprised me too. Glad you like it otherwise, that abrasion resistance is something else eh..... defo the toughest line I've used. You use the same reels as me fella. That pic could be of my spool lol.....
  4. There is no standard but the most common are a size 12. Size 11 seem to be popular too nowadays (both Korda and Gardner have moved from 12 to 11 I think), along with the smaller sizes 8s and 9s. The size 12 is what I consider to be a standard ring swivel and will fit most heli set ups.
  5. Got it in one😂
  6. The narrow puncture proof wheel is pants bud, it tends to slip and slide all over the place in mud which aint good for maintaining balance. There's no tread on it which doesn't help.
  7. 150 with a 2.75 is completely unrealistic IMO.
  8. That! A great caster will cast a 2.75 TC rod 120 yards. A bad caster will struggle to hit 100 with a 3.50 TC rod. Check out Mark Hutchinson and Terry Edmonds casting vids on Youtube, they added miles to my casting.
  9. I use these for zigs. They drop the lead much better than your std lead clip. Wet the clip and just push the tail rubber on a tiny bit. Drops the lead every time and can withstand big casts.
  10. Tight git lol
  11. Set of each would be perfect bud!
  12. Just been sorting my gear out and a full set of top end rods, reels, and alarms are missing ... looked on ebay but none on there ... might have to buy a whole new range unless i can get them from somewhere else......
  13. The Nash is massive and very heavy, and that's without the 3rd skin (which IMO is a pretty pointless product). I'd avoid this unless you plan on doing long-stay static fishing (this is not the bivvy you want if you intend to stay on fish). Decent for long session holiday angling where you cannot move I guess. My mate had one and hated it, it's like building a house every time you put it up. The M3 is right up there with the Armo and the Titan as one of the best all-round bivvies going. A very, very good shelter.
  14. As a base to pump full of my own attractors I think the mainline wafters are as good as any you can get off the shelf. They're pretty thirsty i.e. they take on liquids very readily. Rarely use wafters but when I do I use mainline.
  15. I use cheap rubbish from B&M in my Delks, not changed them in 2 years. Still going strong. Shows how much I catch I guess......
  16. Doesn't that mean we're all average height and you're a short-git*?
  17. Don't know about our lad Greekskii but I'm 6 ft 3 and fit on the compact. It's the lightest on the market (or was, anyway) which is why I went for it. It's not the highest bed I've owned fella. Legs are adjustable so you can raise it but it'll still not go that high.
  18. Also use the Tactical Compact. Replaced a 250 quid bed with this (for about a hundred quid I think) and it's miles better. It's very stiff, which I find comfy - in the softer ones you just sink, they droop like a hammock which is no good for your back.
  19. You can have mine if you need one Vik - I've never used it.
  20. Was looking at that Nige but want one with sides. Considering the Trakker ones. Like the look of the Nash ones but very pricey and have found other Nash products to be poor quality.
  21. Ten years ago Carp Porter was the only way to go. That's no longer the case IMO. On mine the bracket that holds the front wheel assembly on bent, I had to fix it in place with a mod. So did I! Totally agree. I bought direct for 30 or 40 quid and it's utter pants (but still better than dragging a puncture barrow a mile...). The time is coming to replace mine, I'll not be getting another Carp Porter with so many viable alternatives on the market now.
  22. True dat. GCSE level technology in little plastic boxes. Some of which aint waterproof lol.... Rip off, but the best of a bad bunch on the market IMO.
  23. Got to be Fox. To this day I carry around a 20 yr old Fox Micron M. It's a spare for when my £500 quid set goes wrong, which they have done on several occasions. That mouldy old micron has never let me down. I think I've only changed the battaeries twice in those 20 years. It cost 20 quid and is the only alarm I've had that has never had even the slightest problem.
  24. I've not seen the Trakker waders bud. I can vouch for the VASS, they're very good indeed.
