    Used to fish there as a kid. I just used to wait till the match anglers left, as they normally chuck their bait in the edge, and just fish over the top of it. Caught loads doing it. Might have changed now though, haven't been there in about 5-6 years.

    Cheers mate, getting fed up of all these translucent beads that seem to be knocking about nowadays. Show up like beacons in the Pacific ocean, they do! Aint got any spare packs of ESP beads (5mm) knocking about, have ya?

    Looks safe to me, if somewhat unnecessary - would rather use the normal version myself. Out of interest, what beads are they?

    Just wack a rig ring on the end of your leadcore, instead of a lead. Then you can just tie the lead on to this ring with 3/4lb line.

    Needle knot if you're intending to use leadcore. Don't waste your time with that splicing faff.

    Scierra C'thru(same as Prologic XLNT Spectrum) for a fluorocarbon. Currently use it in 25lb, for the boom section of my hinged stiff rig and it knots very well.

    Anyone have any information regarding the lakes at Brandon Marsh, outside Coventry? All I know so far is that the tickets are limited to 10 anglers a year so any help will be appreciated!

    Mono hooklenth with a standard hair, a couple of bits of maize/sweetcorn, 1 oz lead. Drop it where they're feeding.

    For my stiff rig I use 20lb black amnesia as a boom and a flurocarbon hooklink. I use the stiff rig Terry Hearn used in his Tel and Jacko estate lake video.
