    Just wack a rig ring on the end of your leadcore, instead of a lead. Then you can just tie the lead on to this ring with 3/4lb line.

    Needle knot if you're intending to use leadcore. Don't waste your time with that splicing faff.

    Scierra C'thru(same as Prologic XLNT Spectrum) for a fluorocarbon. Currently use it in 25lb, for the boom section of my hinged stiff rig and it knots very well.

    Got through 13 splicing needles before I spliced my first one. Found out I was pulling too hard.

    Mono hooklenth with a standard hair, a couple of bits of maize/sweetcorn, 1 oz lead. Drop it where they're feeding.

    For my stiff rig I use 20lb black amnesia as a boom and a flurocarbon hooklink. I use the stiff rig Terry Hearn used in his Tel and Jacko estate lake video.
