  1. We do a supple hair braid mate. It’s brilliant for ‘tying’ baits. https://nashtackle.co.uk/products/view/hair-braid
  2. Read Yonnys advice! Essential part of my kit! Tripods are 1000’s times better than a bank stick. I use up to 3 external flashes but only for really special fish. I am generally happy with one external mounted on the camera. The in built will also be ok
  3. Go into your local store and they can order you one. We’ve been really busy with limited staff this last week due to junior carp camp.
  4. Look for a second hand canon 70d
  5. First choice for me on most occasions mate!
  6. I would always knot rather than crimp. I don’t know for sure but I can ask a man that will!
  7. It will be hitting the shops imminently mate.
  8. I know it might sound as if I am being biased but have a look at the new SkinLink from Nash. It’s the best coated braid I have ever used. My main two gripes with coated braids is that they are slightly buoyant and that the coating breaks when knotting or passing a loop through the eye of a hook of you use a multi rig like I do for all of my fishing except zigs. This is some serious stuff!
  9. That’s the one I would go for. They also do a cube rucksack that also fits what you describe in your requirements.
  10. I don’t get this Far East Vs British carbon. Loads of top end carbon products are made in the Far East. Bike frames being one.
  11. Use what you want and make your own decisions from what you find out mate. You can read up and have as much advice offered as you want but nothing will compare to working things out for yourself.
  12. You could always try the new pinpoint hooks from Nash. Barbless too!
  13. You’ll love it. I can’t see the need for a brolly system if you can have one of these. Recon it would suit you down to the ground.
  14. Ah right, I took 4.1 something kg off that link in this thread??? Maybe misread it knowing me!! The hide is fantastic mate. They will be on display in the shops tomorrow but I reckon most will be sold out by the end of the day or on pre orders! As I said on another thread, I will probably end up using the hide, when I get one, for the majority of my fishing. Just like I did with the compact supabrolly! Only the hide will give even more versatility than the brolly. I can see the Titan only coming out for long sessions or socials where I can’t move. And that’s no slight on the Titan either as it’s a doddle to put up and take down in its own right!
  15. They aren’t on sale until Saturday! There is a rib/gutter that stops any water dripping in the doorway
  16. Or, at 4.6kg, pretty much the same as the low pro, you could get the Titan hide. All the advantages of a brolly, with the added strength and other benefits of a bivvy system. Things like the zip on full fronts and Winter wraps.
  17. Very useful on the big rivers too. Would make moving swims very easy! Wind in and move on!!!
  18. Totally agree with you on the supabrolly mate. I still have the first 50inch and it’s far better than the new ultra. Massive step backwards for what I need/want but others may see it as an improvement. Mine of the reasons I went with the tc pro Titan is because of the reduction in weight. I’ve always wanted a Titan butbthe weight issue always put me off. It’s light enough now to warrant one. I will be getting the Titan hide as my go to, mobile shelter. Then the tc pro as the long stay, comfort option. Knowing me though, I will just use the hide for week long trips as well!!!
  19. That’s my take on it. If the company has invested profit and more into designing and improving on their ideas, then they should have some protection. In some instances though, patents would be very difficult to achieve. At the end of the day, taking Yonny’s advice on buying what suits you, at what time, is the way to go. If you feel that the patented product that seems over priced from the outside is that item that you think will improve your experience on the bank, go for it. If not, don’t. I know if my boss asked me to take a pay cut because another company is paying their equivalent staff 20% less than me, I would tell him where to go! Lol
  20. To give balance to the thread...... whos the one ripping off customers in this scenario.... company a:- pays staff wages to designers, cad technicians, marketing team, sales team. Pays out for numerous prototypes, ironing out any problems with new product. Puts product out for testing. Resolves any issues after testing period. Etc etc etc ends up with finished product and sells for £15. After taking all the above and more into account, each unit sold draws a margin of £4.50. company b:- buys finished product above off shelf. Gets factory to copy it. Sells product for £10 making the same £6 profit per unit.
  21. Seems strange that you can purchase it if it is only at the field testing stage???
  22. If you had a business designing and selling, I dunno, ball ponot pens say, and you can sell them for £1 a pen. If you source manufacture in Britain and it costs you 18 pence per unit delivered; would you keep that company as your supplier if you could get the exact same pen shipped over at 10 pence per unit? Then still keep the selling price at £1? Or would you say ‘tell you what, I don’t want to earn that extra 100k profit per year’ That £1 is what people are happy paying. If it wasn’t, then you wouldn’t sell any and go out of business. In a funny kind a way, what the tackle firms are getting slated for; buying as cheap as they can, is the same thing that many are advocating by buying a cyprinus bed chair over a trakker one! Lol Products are only worth what people will pay for them. If trakker can still make a living selling at 30% above what cyprinus are charging then fair play to them. The real deal is with designs like the tempest mechanism or the Titan. I would have thought that is patented or exclusivity agreements with the factories, perhaps due to design rights? That’s why you won’t see a cyprinus tempest or a Titan, only a copy of the m3 (standard pramhood) and the like.
  23. Also, they grow bigger quicker, could be alluding to not so much of what top weights they can achieve but more to do with the fact they grow past a size that a lot of predators, like other fish, can take. After all, cm was questioning why they have higher populations. This is definitely one of the variables.
