  1. Your thinking of moving yet you rely on your dad to take you fishing? Plenty of water to go at if you follow the lie of the land You could also have a look at Amalgamated Fisheries and Bathampton clubs, They both have some nice lakes to fish.
  2. You may find you have to pre book your place on the lake as only a limited number of anglers are permitted to fish at any one time. I have not fished there myself as yet but am hoping to have a couple of day sessions up there this year.
  3. Your right TCB - This forum is for learning. You seem to use it for forgetting The above quote was taken from: http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=31293&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Am I still harsh Dave?
  4. You have been posting on this forum for quite a while - do you read nothing on here?
  5. The rig would have to get past the superglued beads first This is everything a helicopter rig shouldn't be. Thats why I tought it was a wind up
  6. I really want a ticket! I'm going to be really wanting a ticket for the rest of my life And yes, it is quite local to you
  7. If this is a wind up - please remove it. People are stupid / inexperienced enough to copy that
  8. Hello Chris, I'm glad you found this forum - please stick around long enough to learn a few things and read through the stickies. This thread highlights why fisheries are banning things like leadcore.
  9. Hope you all have a good weekend. Please bring back plenty of stories
  10. Nothing massive, where they were feeding and on the baits I use everywhere else I know a few of the lads down there use Atlantic heat boilies though Might be a good starting point?
  11. I've had a few out of Wick and yeah it can be a bit busy on there at the weekends during the warmer months - weekdays are far better. From what I have fished it, the fish have never been to hard to find on Wick. Best bet is to go have a walk round there a couple of weekends.
  12. Wick and Ham can get a bit busy but there is a water on the ticket that you will always get on The ticket will only cost you the price for 48 hours on a half decent day ticket. If you join and only do 2 nights then you have not lost anything I have only been a member for a year but came off there in the summer due to the crowds and the distance I live from the park. I had planned to fish Ham through the winter but had a supprise when I bought my house and needed to do a lot more work than first thought (still not finished yet ) I will fish there this spring and come off again in the summer (thats the plan anyway ) Have a look on there website in the gallery. You will see a few nice fish on there
  13. I think that experienced carpers know it's not all about speed; but you would have to ask one!
  14. What would you like to know about this club
  15. If you never use the thing why not sell it. You seem hell bent on using it just because you own it? If you do need one at any point, once a year in france or whatever, then you could hire one. "looking for a short" cut seems quite apt
  16. Again there are loads of threads covering all you are asking. A quick look through the rig tying stickies is worth a shot. I think I recall a post on there with diagrams of how to set up a running rig utilising tubing. Probably done by someone who could tell you a lot more on the subject than me
  17. There are ways round it but I wouldn't use tubing on a running lead just slack lines. If your not using slack lines and only having a small drop on your bobbin then you are not fishing a true running lead.
  18. Have a search on leadcore Nafy and you will see lots of opinions, some for and some against Then make up your own mind if you use it. Just don't let the decision be based on that the alternative is a pain in the backside to do.
  19. There are ways of having all you ask for without the use of leadcore. Tubing being the obviuos.
  20. You will find the chaps down there very helpfull It still may be possible to find some fish at night; if they are giving themselves away It may be worth 'chucking' out the rods using the advice gained from the DVD for the night you get there. Perhaps in a swim next to the car so you don't have to fully unpack? That would allow you to be up before first light to aid you in the location of some fish.
  21. Does anybody have any up to date info on this venue?
