  1. Ive heard that too, also lee jacksons new one. Ive got terry hearns books and they are good. I also like true crime books, read a few about 80s liverpudlian crime families and couldnt stop reading
  2. Ive changed my mind i think it was a standard lead clip setup + whatever rig or an inline + whatever rig and the guy asking the question was fly fishing
  3. I reckon every rig in the book will be mentioned on this thread I think it was a choddy aswell.
  4. most of the stretch near A1 pits holds em, id go with a rod and reel if i were you.
  5. It is sooooooooo potent, to the point where, as mentioned it will likely repel carp. Probably cos it overloads the senses? I would say in a 2 inch stick you want a 'pinch', literally.
  6. However which way it goes remember your bound to have approx 30% of members who are just ticket collectors that may never fish it until you have a 'jewel' or maybe even never. It happens a lot in my experience, ive often thought some syndicates could overscope the maximum amount of members by a couple of people for this reason alone. Worth bearing in mind.
  7. I think it will be best to see photos, ive seen every article going and from what i picture in my mind after reading the post its quite different. Try and sort photobucket pal
  8. try photobucket mate, it converts them to the correct size for forums regardless of megapixels. after you have put them on photobucket just copy and paste the code for forums and put it on your post.
  9. So kinda like a line alligned bent hook rig? Almost withy like? Or have i read it wrong? Can you post pics?
  10. Some of the most stunning fish in the country, for that reason alone i wouldnt pay attention to those who are clearly trying to throw a spanner in. Good luck.
  11. I agree with the above, just fish direct tight line to the lead. Make sure you sit right near your rods though cos my mate lost his like this
  12. brought this back up cos im going back at some point this year, as said earlier the fishing lake is totally seperate. I met a guy in april who had been on 2 days and hadnt seen a soul sounds like my kind of water. He had caught two fish up to then, biggest mid 20. Nice dark fish aswell. I think you have to be staying there though,at haven i mean. Dont any of the welsh lads know anything? its within a couple of miles of a town called Porthmadog.
  13. Dont think its true mate, heard a few talking on another forum and they were local lads, rumours of pikeys n wot not. I would say no more risk than the next place really. not sure on pricee though im afraid. Might see you down there in 2010.
  14. plug socket adapters, we never needed them the first couple of times but we did the last time
  15. extremely at the gate end...(entrance) this time last year but now? thats the best i can say mate cos i aint been since then.
  16. us monkeys up north would say hard to get a 'peg' .....hard to get a swim if every1 keeps casting over u (dont even ask!)
  17. Yeh, if Benson somehow swam all the way over from France.... LOL!!!!!! quality!!
  18. I agree that the longshanks are the main problem with the 360....horiffic damage to smaller fish but then again scaled down maybe ok?, but how can you determine wether or not a virgin water only holds big fish? Can you rely on someone telling you? i couldnt. And i dont always have the time to make observations myself, which is in a lot of cases impossible anyway.
  19. best advice for croix blanche.................dont go!!! seriously though,we had a bad week, cats, cats, cats (under 30lb are classed as pests and must be retained in keep nets to be euthanised ) One 42lb mirror for my mate and only carp all week from tortue. croix produced a 44lb mirror and about 7 other carp up to 29lb between 6 anglers!! Not as we expected at all, nice place and great staff though... only we landed a bad week
