Thats a shame, must of been something to do with the setup. I am yet to find a better solution and i dont agree that a leader isnt necessary. Surely you dont fish without one all the time?

Ok, fair enough. I think its a case of the manufacturers designing products that they just expect people to understand. I mean, i drop leads when i need to, and sometimes when i dont need to I admit people do set them up wrong but its the CLIPS not the leaders. And im not talking shockleaders nick, i hope your not misunderstanding

I know what your getting at nick but its not that cut and dried. Undertow WILL move your line, as will fluttering fins for eg. Safezones are made from a material and are of a thickness that will not cut into a fish if it wraps up, unlike fishing straight through. We both know what the dangers of leadcore are so these are THE best alternative in the situation mentioned. They also have excellent abrasion resistance, better than a heavy fluoro leader for example.

Safezones are the bees, the vast majority of my fishing incorporates these. They are available in all colours, lengths and with/without clips. Get on them Not cheap like
  5. slack lines give slower indication tho dont they on the alarms? Not really, if its set up correctly.

  8. Ive changed my mind i think it was a standard lead clip setup + whatever rig or an inline + whatever rig and the guy asking the question was fly fishing
  9. I reckon every rig in the book will be mentioned on this thread I think it was a choddy aswell.
  10. It is sooooooooo potent, to the point where, as mentioned it will likely repel carp. Probably cos it overloads the senses? I would say in a 2 inch stick you want a 'pinch', literally.
  11. I think it will be best to see photos, ive seen every article going and from what i picture in my mind after reading the post its quite different. Try and sort photobucket pal
  12. try photobucket mate, it converts them to the correct size for forums regardless of megapixels. after you have put them on photobucket just copy and paste the code for forums and put it on your post.
  13. So kinda like a line alligned bent hook rig? Almost withy like? Or have i read it wrong? Can you post pics?
  14. I agree with the above, just fish direct tight line to the lead. Make sure you sit right near your rods though cos my mate lost his like this
  15. I agree that the longshanks are the main problem with the 360....horiffic damage to smaller fish but then again scaled down maybe ok?, but how can you determine wether or not a virgin water only holds big fish? Can you rely on someone telling you? i couldnt. And i dont always have the time to make observations myself, which is in a lot of cases impossible anyway.
