    The most effecient rig i've found for a pop up is the 360. I think a bottom bait rig would vary more depending on the lake bed.

    Thread a float stop onto the mainline, then the float & tie on a swivel. Then attach a lower strength hooklink.

    6ft the last fish i had on zig was on 10ft hooklink i cast it of my unhooking mat i use 3oz inline lead with leadcore Why use leadcore on a 10ft zig?

    I use Kamasan Carp Maxx hooks with this rig, though other patterns have worked too.

    It's one of the rigs i use. Very easy to tie & very effective, providing there's not too much debris on the lake bed.

    where are they going to, It would be shame to take them out of there natural habitat It would be madness. Cyril Brewster thinks it would be a good idea to relocate Carp from their 68 acre home, that's full of natural food & receives very little pressure, to a 6 acre pond near by. Then make it day ticket.     I wouldn't worry too much about the depth of silt. The problem is more the type of silt. Most of the lake is covered with the bad stuff, everytime you retrieve a hookbait it stinks. Add to that the amount of debris on the bottom, snags & lots of weed, any fish caught is a result
