I sold most of it. I've just kept the basics stuff. Well see what happens. But so far no regards I'd say it been a good 6 months since I've done a night or anything really fishing related. But I've refound my love for love distance running. And I'm still climbing loads so I'm outside enjoying whats out here.
Keeping it varied makes a lot of sense, I definitely over saturated myself with carp fishing, the break did me good for sure and I've started rock climbing now aswell so between the two I and go what I love which is be outdoors and kept it varied
So I took a few weeks and I havnt missed carp fishing at all, but I was really missing catching perch so I went out for a few hours this morning and had one of about 1lb -1lb and 4oz I dont really pay that much attention to weight but I'm got the buzz back well for perch anyway.
We all know carp and brand tax exists. But but up to the Individual on what they to pay. Companies exist to make money and if they can brand it market it and sell it make money they will
This is hard one to judge with as I have seen some people pick it up leave the bag due to a lack of bins on the walk and then pick it up in the way back though.
But I have also seen the opposite.. does make me wonder why they go though the effort of putting a bag in the 1st place.
Personally I will bag it and carry it till I get to bin. Just part of having a dog but as with litter I think it's the minority running for the majority.
There a day ticket near me that names Shames and bans them with the evidence going on there face ache page if they leave anyhing at the lake or on the roads approaching the lake . It tough but there isn't a single bit of rubbish there
Could maybe see the point to this depending on how it works. I did burn though quite a few flurocarbon hooklinks when I played round with stiff d rigs.
This one I agree does seem a bit pointless but hey to each there own. No doubt will be discontinued by next season in typical nash fashion.
Yeah I'm planning some new changelles now. Including some bass and wrasse andgoing back to pike fishing in winter and thinking about it is putting a smile on my face
Bored of sitting behind alarms for sure. Im going opening season night with my dad on his club water (my old big pit) and then getting up early and going sight fishing for chub and I'm quite looking forward to it.
Yeah I'll be moving on for sure looking forward to a bit of sight chub stalking and piking when I can. I think going less will also help aside used to go once a week with fail
Yeah I do kinda feel that if I sold my carp gear I wouldn't really care not that I much to sell now. My alarms are the only thing that I sell. I'm not going to because i know what will happen but if i don't miss it in a few months then I will probably move them on. I dont think I'd take up golf id properly end up doing climbing or something like that if I wasnt fishing
Yeah that my plan for summer and autumn get up really early and just go few a few hours sight fishing for chubb.
I think in ideal world I'd get back on the rivers and have a boat to do it in but with a house to do up and baby due in winter I just cant validate the money to prebait or time now either
Yeah that's kinda what I'm starting to think, I just dont really like sitting in my brolly waiting for screamer. The club water is the pit like that it now super busy and everyone chats twaddle about what they have caught. I used to love that big pit 110-120 acres with maybe 12 blokes on it but once I brought my house I just couldn't put the hours in. As I say above I'm gonna try not do anymore serious carp fishing this year (and just go to runs waters where I can get them in the edge or off the top) and just fish for chub tench/ bream and pike. And see how I go.
Glad I'm not the one that its happened to. I have been on the club lake for about 4-5 years so maybe it time for change. I do want to go back to my big pit water which I gave my ticket up on when I moved house so maybe that will be the plan for next season I'll just concentrate on fun for the rest off the year. Smaller fish or chubbing and then piking in winter and the "carping" a rest for a while"
Been finding myself losing my buzz for carp fishing lately. I dont know why but I get on an overnighter and I'm ready to come home by dusk. Anyone had the same happens to them?
Is it time to mix it up a bit and swap to a new lake or species or just hang the rods up for a couple of months.
For me I only fish small waters now And dwarfs/ scopes are just easily for storage and getting car.
I'd only want a spod rod to get past the seagulls and when using particles
Chods and stiff ds are personally all I use now. Mainy because there so simple to tie and it take very few componets to do it . But once I've used the last so my live system I'm gonna just use tigers hemp and maize ( need to save up and get my sorted now really) so I think 99% of my fishing will just be helicopters with balanced tigers on stiff ds but we have different ways so approaching stuff and though patterns
