  1. Ordered me some of orange specails and liquid won't be using them for a quite a few month but they and sir glugging for a while. Might play with making my own blue ones aswell as cc moore sell the dye and pop up powders
  2. Plus with the northerns you can buy the booster luquid fishing for making bags not that it matter that much as if fishing on the bottum I use tiger nuts
  3. Looking at getting pot of either for single hi attact hookbaits. Is one better then an other?
  4. By pre stretched I'm guessing you mean the likes of fox exocet or simallar
  5. After being on braid for a few months. Rules have changed and means I have. I love braid as find it so easy for feeling the drop. Are they any decent low stretch mono out there?
  6. Part of why i much prefer short sessions. Makes you go out and hunt then rather then bait and wait. Oli David's carp cast spoke about this and it was quite an interesting lists.
  7. Personally I couldn't do a week. But i guess it's a diffenrt style of fishing..
  8. For a bit of discussion whats your fav or normal session lenght? For me used to do 3-4 every couple of months or so But now I'd much rather just get out for a night or 24 hours as means i can get out a lot more and it less to get organised for and a lot less stuff to take Got a day only section of a water to try next season so looking forward to a prebaiting and fishing for few hours in a morning or evening style of fishing
  9. 18lb river fish I had on a feeder rod when i was 14-16. Still remember the feeling when it broke the surface
  10. And how long have you had yours for ? As I'm finding all the cheaper alarms I buy only last about a year. Otger option is invest more money and look at delkims evs or Nevilles knowing that I can sent them back for services and if there loud enough I won't need a receiver. As now it's just the odd night I do
  11. This one? https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/sonik-sks-alarm-and-receiver-set Like the sound of lifetime g-tee wouls need too get army andy to make some case up
  12. Fed up of the rubbish battery life of my pro logic bats. (Had to change battery twice in one of my recent sessions) And i can't remeber where it brought them from to try and sent them back. So I'm gonna get some new alarms. Only need 2 heads ( if im being trueley honest) would like a receiver for the odd night that I do. But mostly be evenings and mornings. I've seen the nash s5r which seem ok price Only down side I see in lack of senseitity adjustment anyone had a set and get advise what there like? Or anything that's around the same sort of money? Imo not worth me dropping the extra money for r3 or txis( which are too big for bag now anyway) for how little ill use the wireless function
  13. On the hunt for a 10 foot spod rod? Ideally with 10 foot singled sleeve any suggestions?
  14. No idea why never thought of that. Think fox do a slow melt one anyway Quick cover of oil and groundbait should help aswell
  15. I'll give it a go. Only get the pva to last till it hits the river beds which isn't that long at all
  16. Tbh ill always throw in some extra hemp in. Just while on subject of particles is there such a thing a pva freindly tigers?
  17. When it hits june 16th ill be back on the rivers anyway. It's just the session during the close season where i hit the runs water.
  18. On my runs water I find that once you catch a few bream the carp will move in. Plus it might be bit of a flase encomcy. And as ill have to reinvest in spod rod. Plus it's another thing to carry
  19. Tbh I'm juat after getting a few fish theese days especially on one of my lakes which is basically a runs water. I dont have the time or money to sit there and fill it in with boikies for the bigger fish and as I've said before with the river I do a lot of prebaiting so cost is big factor. I get what your saying about the hemp tiger combo just because I dont see people using it doesn't mean people aren't
  20. Just as a point of discussion. While I'm dat on my tod today waiting which do you think are better? I'm normally a boilie fan but next season once the wayer earmd back again due to the cost of particles and the fan everyone else seems to fish boilies I'm going over to a hemp maize tiger plan to do something a bit different.
  21. Luckily not in any deal rush to get a spod as any longer range fishing us just pva work now with it starting to cool down
  22. Im a big fan of tigers if in using s boilie hook bait and it's clean I go with a hardened hook bait think the heavier hook bait is something fish aren't used to dealing with on busier waters.
  23. Oh good should be some review going round then. Not dropping 120 without a good review or two. My cheap small set up is starting get pricy
