  1. I think the remote will probably be the better option after having a look, im going to have a good mess about with it over the next few weeks and see what quality of picture I get. I may even think about selling it and buying a new one if they don’t turn out so well. Do you know any good value cameras mate? I’m pretty new to the photography thing.
  2. I’ve just downloaded this on my iPhone, it should make things easier, with a bit of practice.
  3. Get a drill bait needle, drill a hole into the boilie rather than just pushing your bait needle straight through.
  4. I’ve had it for about a year now mate, I’m sick of taking mat shots when nobody’s with me or on the lake, that’s why I decided to look into it now. I was reading Terry Hearns book where he says he attached a cork ball onto a hook box then used his knee to press a remote control that he placed in the hook box, I may have to try something like this.
  5. Wish I’d checked before I bought it, thanks anyway mate 👍
  6. Does anyone know what intervalometer I will need for a canon EOS 4000d?
  7. Aw ok, I see. Im going to give a stringer a try, it’s something I never think about using. 👍
  8. Why don’t you use too many mate? I take it they must fill the carp up more than a boilie?
  9. There not nash but I thought these look pretty descent, cheap also.
  10. Particles that are easily digested such as groats, hemp and corn should be your main bait this time of year IMO. Of course the most important part of winter carping is watching the water for signs of fish before any bait application.
  11. Same here, Wednesdays looking nice in this part of the country on the weather app.
  12. I think people are trying to get across that these top anglers haven’t got where they are today because of money as the money they’ve earned has come after the success they made for themselves through hard work, dedication and natural ability. Probably when the majority of them didn’t have a penny to scratch there backsides with. Lol
  13. People who do a good bit know that mate, a fish that can go five years without getting caught proves that IMO, The likes of Dave lane, Terry Hearn and Scott Lloyd have a hunting ability that your born with and can’t be taught.
  14. A painting of the burghfield common off the Mrs after dropping a few hints 😉, not my favourite looking carp of all time but the fact it gets caught so rarely puts it up there with one of my favourites. Caught only by IMO the elite carp anglers.
  15. My favourites are Gardner ultra skin in both soft and stiff, also ESP tungsten loaded in semi stiff.
  16. Type specialist hookbaits in google and I think you’ll find which ones he’s talking about.
  17. Soon they’ll be ripe for picking... just got me thinking if anybody still uses them for a carp bate? I can remember when I was teenager catching all sorts on the river using them and catching carp out of the park lakes on them on the float. I’m thinking about chucking some in a spod mix do you lads think it could be an edge or it’s not something the carp would care about to much?
  18. I use three rod lengths of 40lb greased weasel shock leader onto 18lb mono mainline, it’s always worked fine for me without much stretch.
  19. I like the look of these, Just found one second hand used once think I’ll have a bid on it. 👍
  20. I’ve read daiwa ninjas are good, I don’t know if anyone’s used them on here?
  21. Hi lads, does anyone know a good reel what will balance well with a 6ft 2lb scope rod? Il be using it on rivers a lot and not only for carp.
  22. Have you ever used there pop ups yonny? Was just wondering what the buoyancy was like?
  23. Try Gardner ultra skin stiff for your chod sections and hinge stiffs mate, after steaming there class and work as good as a filament on this rig. You’ve had some good fish lately mate simple and effective you know that 👍
