  1. Did they fit a new insert or new ring?
  2. Is it a new rod or still under warranty, could you not return it for a new one or have it repaired? 👍
  3. If you do have a go and you manage to get it back in, from what I read your better putting a few drops of liquid super glue in that will help hold it in place. 👍 But I'd do a bit of research first mate you may pick up some tips on getting it back in. 👍
  4. I've just had a quick search on the net and the answer that keeps coming up is that the inserts are pressure fitted at the manufacturing stage, they can be refitted but normally it's is just a temporary fix, your better getting a new eye fitted. So in away we're both right, not bad for non experts 😂👍
  5. I'm no expert mate but I think you will have to have the ring replaced. I don't think you can just replace the inserts. 😞 Your local tackle shop should be able to get it done for you, if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me. 👍
  6. All my fishing is day sessions on fairly small lakes so I'm usually fishing for a bite at a time so I nearly always use a stringer with 3 or 4 boilie's or a small stick of crushed boilie's with a matching liquid. I also fish a larger lake were I like to fish over a spread of bait so I use a throwing stick for that, I actually really like to use a throwing stick It took me a while to get used to it and the first time my arm was dropping off the next day 😂.
  7. I think you've hit the nail right on the head there mate. 👍
  8. I could listen to his fishing story's all day long, you can tell just by watching and listening to him how passionate he is about his fishing. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to spend a fishing trip with him even just listening and watching him fish, I recon I could learn so much about carp fishing. 🙂
  9. I've got to agree with you there B.C.👍 I watched this this morning very good deffo worth a watch. 🙂
  10. Don't know if I'll make it today mate I had a really bad night shift. And no sleep yesterday either. I need to get some sleep. 😴😴
  11. I had walk around this morning but there was no one fishing, there were a few fish bubbling but no movement. I might nip again tomorrow afternoon for another walk around and to say hello and see how you're getting on if that's OK. 👍
  12. I'm going for a walk around Orrell water park tomorrow morning to have look at the place and see what it's like I'm thinking of maybe fishing it Monday. 👍 I've got another place in mind as well so I'll be having a look around there as well and then I'll make my mind up as to were to fish. 🎣😀
  13. You shouldn't have told me that I'm a bit of an ice-cream monster I love the stuff. 😂😂😂
  14. I'll do that mate but my normal fishing days are Friday or Monday as there my days off. 👍 Also mate do they come round for tickets or do you have to buy before fishing? 👍
  15. Nice one mate. 👍 I drive past that place quite a bit never really thought about fishing it. I might have a go myself. Is it a day ticket water and how much mate? 👍
  16. A nice little day session today with my eldest daughter. A mixed bag for my daughter Christening her new feeder rod. 😀 And 6 carp for me 5lb, 71/2, 8, 2 9lbers and a new pb for me of not massive but 12lb, well chuffed.
  17. Is that your local tackle shop or online? 👍
  18. I only find the crab and sea salt in 500g bags is that the only size they do? 👍
  19. Thanks B.C. for another in depth reply very interesting reading and very helpful. I'm afraid I won't be rolling my own baits the amount of fishing I do doesn't really warrant it but I do think I'm going to be investing in a little bait freezer and swapping to frozen baits. I have been toying with the idea for a while it would come in handy for my pike fishing as well, it would free up a draw in our home freezer the wife will be made up. 😂
  20. I've been using the nash instant action candy nut crush and coconut cream shelf life and they seem to be quite a hard bait is this normal for shelf life boilies? and is there anything I can do to soften them up? If I can't soften these boilie's up a bit can anyone recommend a softer shelf life. It's just that these seem quite hard as a hook bait and I feel when you get a pick up they must feel hard to the carp. Surely a softer bait is more attractive to a carp and softer boilie's must be easier to digest. Sorry if this is a stupid question 😀
