  1. George is a lovely looking dog and he sounds like the perfect fishing conpanyon.

  2. George is a cocker cross cavalier so he loves sniffing about in the bushes chasing birds and stuff, however the cavalier side means it doesn't last long before he is laying down on my bed trying to get fussed. On our first trip fishing he fell in stepping on weed instead of land and that put him off water ever since which is great because you don't want a wet dog jumping all over the bed.

    The Colder Days

i do layers rather than all in one, layers are (below 10 deg) tee shirt & boxers, thin jersey top and shorts, hoody and joggers then zipped hoody and combats, 2xpair sox (1 x knee length boot sock) + in my bag i carry a thin waterproof jacket and trousers incase of rain but at any given time i can remove a layer or two. if you have an all in one on you cant put much underneath, i found anything more than undies and you were soaked with sweat after ten mins, after you got warm you have nothing to take off unless you wanted to run round in your skidders

  4. Pet shop or farm shop should sell pigeon conditioner The baileys can be a very good digestive aid so not all bad Bait and seasons most of it is old wives tales mate, balance is the key to any recipe when wanting to use it all year round, what you have there will catch all year round in IMO, they will still eat fishmeal even during the coldest temperatures the problem is during the periods when the water is colder there metabolism slows right down which means if they eat a lot of fishmeal type products it takes them a lot longer to digest. Mr Hearn suggested as long as 2 weeks when he experimented with his pond fish. Also there diet seems to switch it more carbs/fats based due to the fact they get a faster energy hit from this type of ingredient. So using your recipe if your really worried reduce the trout pellet content by 10-15% and use a combination of the soya, semo and baileys in equal measures to replace it and you have a winterised version :).
