  2. I've got the older version with just the light rather than the underlit wheel, but shouldn't think there's much difference on power usage. I have just changed the batteries in mine after 4 years ! & they were still working just thought I bettter change them, glad I did as there was a little corrosion starting from the old battery.

Well the threading pods use is 3/8" BSF. I've found a solution too! I'm buying 4x lock nuts and 2x extra large brass nuts from the bay. Works out to just under a tenner was thinking about boring out some pipe for myself but this way works out way cheaper... Unless andyone can poimt me in the direction of any cheap aluminium or brass piping? ~X Sent from my HUAWEI G6-L11 using Tapatalk

  7. battery life should be the same in both att versions as they have only moved the position of the led. they will run down if you don't fit covers when not using. like phil mine last ages and you can pick them up off ebay real cheap. I keep spares and a small descent screwdriver in buzzbar bag. receiver tends to last about a year + on a Duracell AA. my guess would be you should get 50 days + on a battery.

  10. I use the ATTx dongles and sounder with my Delkims, and battery life can vary. I use a decent battery in the receiver, so I know I will get at least a year out of that. However the batteries for the dongles are a different matter. Some last ages, over 6months, yet others I may change every trip, depending on where I get them from Buy decent quality batteries, don't do ebay specials, get them from a decent supplier, and that does NOT always include a tackle shop (sorry!) If you buy the batteries supplied by Gardner you should be ok, but other cheapies are not as good. Probably the best place to get batteries for almost everything is possibly Maplins

    How much you carrying?

I said I'd come back and let you know what I thought of the Fox easy shelter. Just to say I've only put it up in the garden so far, just once. Is ok so far, I feel like will just need to practice the routine of putting it down more than anything as I couldn't for the life of me work out how to fold it down even after watching two different YouTube videos. I slightly resent having to put together those poles with the bungy cord down the middle. There is a long one for the peak which gets stuck right in the middle on the way in and on the way out which is a shame. It's also heavier overall than I realised, Fox told me it was 3.4kg. But the box when it arrived says 6kg on it? I'll weigh it later. I'll possibly be using the shelter on the bank tomorrow so will return to give some more thoughts then. 12. Depends completely on the type of angling you'll be doing fella. - For out-and-out distance casting you want a pre-stretched line, something like Fox Exocet. However, abrasion resistance is non existent and they tend not to sink too well either. - If you want a little more abrasion resistance/sinking but maintain casting then the new semi pre-stretched lines are very popular, Gardner GT-HD, Shimano Technium, that kind of thing. -Then you have the genuine all-rounders, they do everything quite well. As said above Gardner Pro is very good indeed, as is ESP Synchro XT (NOT the loaded version). - Then you have what I call snag lines, the stuff with great abrasion resistance but you'll not cast a million miles with it. Think Gardner Hydro Tuff. No line does everything, you should buy it to suit your needs. I use Rig Marole SLS Specimon Tough. It's indestructible, has the strength of a snag line (they saw through wood with it in their demo at the shows) but it casts and sinks OK. It's not the most supple but I can hit 130 with the 18lb (0.37 mm dia.) with quite soft rods. I'm no big caster either.
