Yes mate, it's the one I'm concentrating all of my efforts on, I've seen and heard more fish in this area than anywhere else. Put it this way, and I know it goes against the grain, but I'd need a really good reason to fish anywhere else on the pit, you can just feel it in the pit of your stomach
Proper clam and quite mate, we're sitting up listening, you can hear a pin drop, it's proper exciting as we've heard a number of fish roll, only subtle, but I feel close to fish, if you know what I mean. Deadly quite, beautifully calm, what an exciting place to be
If your up at dark like me, you'll also get to see some of the years best sunsets and sunrises, winter is hard but equally a special time for a lot of reasons.
I can't wait to see this pit in all of its slender throughout the 4 seasons
Love winter fish, frost on the ground, too cold for many, biting wind, hide away with a hot coffee, bit of me that is!

I'll sometimes use a single bankstick, but only if I am having one rod off at an acute angle, such as fishing the near margins.
I much prefer the pod. I've never found any ground that's too hard to get a pod into!
Ive made a couple of tweaks for this weeks session.
I've taken all the 20 millers out and bulked up with smaller 12 and 15mm baits.
And now I'll be using tigers on one rod and 15mm boilies on the other.
I'm going to start bringing the two spots closer together over the next few weeks, to with in 20 yards of each other, then fish a hookbait either side of the baited area.
Again, this isn't a short term plan, in fact the left hand rod will be staying where it was but I'll be moving the right hand rod over.
The pellets have been absolutely saturated in liquids, their fit to burst.
Ooo I also have the years first box of mince pies ready for the session tomorrow
