    Thank you very much Neal. Unfortunately i do not work in a hook factor nor am I in the trade. That would be good if you get your hands on some choddy kranks as these are not in shops yet nor are the barbless standard kranks.

    S' ok neal, you cant help it if the old b/censored/r is blind they remind me of the circle hook thats prolific on the continent and usa

    It's worth noting that what happened to this fish can just as easily happen with a barbed hook. A couple of times before I have had hook pulls and the hook has caught hold in the carp's pectoral. It's a part of fishing that is out of our control, it is a rare occurrence but something that is always possible.
