bluebirdjones
I'd go somewhere else if you're teaching a mate. I think if the first time I was ever taken fishing was to Linear I would never have taken up carp fishing. Bivvy's every 10 yards is not my idea of fun. speersy
yeah maybe a runs water mate for someone who is starting out, try and keep it fun for them. My mate wanted to run before he could walk so took him to bluebells and he was bored to death, told him to learn how to catch carp first and enjoy the sport before trying to tackle hard waters. jules007
linear waters can be very hard, lots of angling pressure from all angles, maybe try brasenose lakes see if you can hold a feeding group with spod mix
andy52
When i said teaching him i ment to say he stopped about 12 yrs a go, so it's just bringing him up to date with rigs/tactics. Hey linear has to be better than where he wants to go (horseshoe) he saw mr hayes on telly and fancies trying it, so wanna find some where thats as picturesque as h/shoe but where he got a chance of bending his new rods
