Can you take luncheon meat over the border with you? and one assumes that there is no problem taking meat/fish based boilies, halibut pellets?

Just thought id check before i have to dump £x worth of bait at the ferry port.

thanks

I heard they did a garlic one out there, will keep my eyes peeled.

I was thinking of using it for the cats and carp so I was planning on taking 10+ cans. If i can definatley get it out there ill prob take a few cans with me and buy the rest there.

I'll have a quick flick through a customs website to see if i can find a definate answer.

If it's not allowed, try black and white striped baits fished as a snowman rig, tipped off with a piece of black fake corn , glugged in onion oil, on a bicycle rig, can't fail! Have fun and good luck!

Hi all

Just to clarify, I phoned customs and you CAN take luncheon meat over the border to France.

I asked about maggots and he said to ring the French Embassy and ask them. I havent rang them yet.
