bobstains
Can you take luncheon meat over the border with you? and one assumes that there is no problem taking meat/fish based boilies, halibut pellets? Just thought id check before i have to dump £x worth of bait at the ferry port. thanks
noknot
How many cans were you thinking of taking Bob? Maybe best to buy it there? Garlic flavoured LM would be great
bluebirdjones
I took some when I went a couple of years ago but they didn't search our van. It didn't even enter my mind luncheon meat wouldn't be allowed I assumed its OK.
bobstains
I heard they did a garlic one out there, will keep my eyes peeled. I was thinking of using it for the cats and carp so I was planning on taking 10+ cans. If i can definatley get it out there ill prob take a few cans with me and buy the rest there. I'll have a quick flick through a customs website to see if i can find a definate answer.
noknot
If it's not allowed, try black and white striped baits fished as a snowman rig, tipped off with a piece of black fake corn , glugged in onion oil, on a bicycle rig, can't fail! Have fun and good luck!

bobstains
Hi all Just to clarify, I phoned customs and you CAN take luncheon meat over the border to France. I asked about maggots and he said to ring the French Embassy and ask them. I havent rang them yet.
