Im going Blackfords on Tuesday as l been told the lads running it this year are really making an effort. 1 pool was re-stocked in January and the other one has been done in March so apparently fishing really well. Will keep you informed if anyone is interested

Hi all, me and my brother fished there last year, and I was getting big fish on the line in peg no 1, the one closest to the car park. Was float fishing with a banded pellet about 1 meter out, and about 12 inches from the reeds. Took a long time to get a bite about 45 minutes per fish, but after studying the pool it seems all the big fish are in peg 1. Hope it helps.

Oh and I forgot to mention in original post about essington pools, that I was using a floating pellet weighed down by a bb shot, the pellet was banded onto the hook and positioned so it was floating 2 inches off the bottom, size 16 hook.
