Just returned from a day fishing here and couldnt see any reviews in search so thought l would add one for future reference. Pulled up around 6.20 am to find 4 pools, Top pool, Middle pool, Bottom pool and a canal style pool mostly for matches. After a walk around all pools the amount of movement was encouraging on all 3 pools but we decided to fish the Top pool. After being there just over half an hour l had my first take on red meat about 2 foot to the side of me Please excuse the glasses but it very much helps with my hayfever, although it wasnt a monster fish after blanking the last 4 times at my local synd this was a very welcome fish. Within the next few hours l started to add more fish to the bank but as the weather had changed for the worse the camera man (the old man) decided he didnt want to keep leaving his day shelter Through the day l had 18 carp in total the biggest being about 9 ilb with 4 decent tench and a couple of bream to add to the mix Final Verdict:- Having spoke to the bailiff, who has taken over just last year is a very friendly chap (makes a change) and suggested that the bottom pool was best for carp with plenty of doubles and reports of a 30+ in there. Although the top pool has a 24ilb in there is rarely caught he said the bottom pool is defo the place for a carp angler. All in all as l mentioned it was a nice pool to get your confidence back after blanking and just gets your confidence back in your fishing.

Hi guys, off fishing sunday for a 24 hour session, live in wolverhampton but willing to travel a little. Anyone have any suggestions for somewhere that is fishing well. There is 2 of us so a double peg would be nice, l was thinking Leighton pools but aint heard how its fishing at the mo

Hey mate, yes turf pool is always locked, when you get the ticket you will also get a key for it. calf heath is just down the road then the 2 other pools are right by Cannock Retail park. Just been restocked in Jan and march. Im fishing turf pool at the mo and finding it tricky which is good as learning new tactics to get me some nice fish.

Blackfords syndicate mate, Its Norton Canes Cannock and for £40 a year for the 4 pools its not bad, after a year you can then apply for night syndicate

Why didn't you ask us before booking Lesson learnt, just changed plans and going to try Bishton or leighton instead

Oh great, l did see l photo of a match but with 6 or 7 pools thought they might of just used 1 or 2 for matches

I do believe that Korda have removed all there safe zone helicopter/chod rigs from there range. Dont have an answer to why

Blackfords Syndicate, Just wondered if there any members on here? have just joined and will be aiming to go around once or twice a week. Would be lot more but with me not driving just yet its getting my old man to drop me off at the mo If anyone does fish there give a shout as would be nice to have someone to have a chat and share tactics with, fished the Turf yesterday and drew a blank but wont stop going there until l figure how to fish and have a few decent fish out.

I have just seen a video from Korda with there chod rig, looks fantastic and l will give this a blast ut have a couple of questions... 1. Where they have used bristle filament can l use my korda hook link 29ilb? 2. Do you have to use the d-rig or will a hair work the same. 3. If no is the answer to hair rig how on earth do you get the boilie on lol, l dont fancy tying a little rig late at night or early morning

Im going Blackfords on Tuesday as l been told the lads running it this year are really making an effort. 1 pool was re-stocked in January and the other one has been done in March so apparently fishing really well. Will keep you informed if anyone is interested
