i was the same, used fang x exsclusivly (sp? dont care) untill i lost 2 fish one after the other withing 2 mins, playing one and lost it just as i got my second run then lost that, i kid you not, to which i changed to the wide gape and long shank, and touch would, ive nor=t lost a fish since, now whether this is to do with my change in hook patern i dont know? but it has certainly given me my confidance back

i usually always use raptors mostly 4-8 i find they give a good hold without the need of a barb. so u dont damage the fish`s mouth as i think we should all use barbless to keep our fish in tip top condition

carp_king, the use of barbless hooks has been banned on some of the larger carp fisheries(e.g. CEMEX) because of the damage they can inflict to the fishes mouth through multiple hook-ups.

Microbarbed every time for me.

Fox do some pretty good gear. I don't know who makes their hooks. But my experience of Fox hooks has been very disappointing.

Carp hooks that straighten out and pike trebles that snap.

I won't even try any new patterns sold under the Fox name now.

agree about the fox hooks utter and total crap, funny really as the new range of terminal tackle seems spot on.
