there are loads of flying backleads available at moment i was just wondering what are the best ones you have used. also the anchor satellite ones i have now started off ok but after a few sessions they sarted flying back so much they only went about 10 metres out and my rig was like 60 metres away. and another thing lol do the heavier backleads fly back further away from the rig than the light ones or is it the other way around
iv also tried using fluorocarbon but its been a pain the the a**e for tying rigs with. thats another thing actually is the IQ soft hooklink from korda the same suppleness as mono?
does any one know of any good braids that have a dark brown colour as the darkest i have found is the sufix and this isnt dark enough. all the ones i can find seem to be based more on clay
o right so do you think i should match the rigs to the colour of the water or the bottom? or does he muddy water mean the bottom will be muddy aswell because the banks are covered in the ash and im pretty sure the bottom is covered in it to. if you have never sean it its like stones that are black but it is really rough
the water i fish is an old ash pit which has been turned into a commercial fishery. the water is pretty brown. what i was wondering is what rig material to use to match the bottom or will it not matter too much with the coloured water
i meen if you have one of the bobbins where you can slide the weight along the bobbin to make it heavier how heavy can you make it without the line coming off the bottom and moving the backlead
lol after all that when i went to the fishing show i got a 5lb test spod rod and a big pit real for £40 but thanks for all your advide on braid and shockleaders.
ok cheers but i was just wondering with the shockleader wont the 8lb line stretch more than the 45lb line when the spod reaches the marker and hits the line clip
cheers for all the advice but when i said on the cheap i meant really cheap lol im only 15 and i have only got 60 quid crimbo money to get all my stuff bought for next year and that isnt all for fishing and i dont even know if spodding is any good on the lake that i am a member at so i dont really wanna be spending more than about 15 pound on spodding gear i know i wont get everything i need for that i was just wondering if ther wus any way i could do it on the cheap
does the visibility of flourocrbon underwater change between which brand you buy or is it all the same underwater fior example is korda iq more invisible than one of the cheap bulk packs of fluorocarbon
because i fish a lot on the feeder so the fish will feel the line as they are taking the feed out plus its probably just my match fishing ways of thinking but surely you must be more likely to get bites with a thinner line
