  1. Very easy to make combi links. I use it instead of using tubing at the hook end or if I want to have a soft hair and stiff rig.
  2. Getting rid of the swivel will increase the amount of line twist you get.
  3. Lucky you, the home of carping! I have been toying with the idea of trying to book a couple of nights up there, just for the history.
  4. Yes you can, but to be honest with you I wouldn't reckomend using a pop-up when using a PVA bag. If you do fish it just off the eye on the hook.
  5. http://www.solartackle.co.uk/site_images/imgPVAclip01.jpg There you go.
  6. http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=37603 Look at the helicopter rig, you set it up like that, except you thread an inline lead on and then tie the hoop on, clip a pva bag to the hoop and pull the hoop back into the lead slightly.
  7. Is this the one that like a helicopter rig, except you use an inline lead, and have a clip or hooped piece of metal running through the lead to clip the bag on to?
  8. I'm not sure I understand what your asking?
  9. Depends what you want from ya fishing, but Sutton lake 3 is a puka local lake, and getting better all the time. I struggled on it, and would love to have another go, maybe I will if I stay down this way.
  10. If you check my facebook out the pictures are on there, funny enough some of us call it sLutton, but Cemex don't like that. Should have a bit of room on 25acre water, having never been there I can't comment only pass on what I've been told. Where have you been wetting your lines this year?
  11. i've got mates who have fished Chillham a lot in the past, gets rammed down there.
  12. 34c, 30m, 35c, 23c, 25c, 23c, 30c, 25m, 39m, 21c, 39m, 34m, 27m, 33m, 25m. That was just between June and September, haven't fished since really, although should be getting the rods out tomorow for social.
  13. Cemex Sutton lake 3, get a winter ticket now as it is going syndicate next year, and tickets will be offered to excising memebers first. I'm also on the look out for a new water myself as I'm never going to better this season on Sutton and only have a handful left in there to catch.
  14. Not had a ticket this year fella, but still use their forum. I keep thinking about getting a ticket back, but It's hard to justify putting in enough time on there.
  15. I couldn't put a number on it, they were getting reading for spawning and there were fish everywhere, kept me awake all night splashing in the reeds in front of me (was fishing the Reedy swim)
  16. It's a lovely lake, just have to fish in a group. I spent a night on their last spring, didn't realise how many carp there are in there!
  17. By playing fish lightly, I imagine that the fight last longer? IMHO this increases mouth damage and the chance of a braided hook length slicing their mouth. I have seen braid slice a carps mouth quite badly, the slice was right in the scissors, the braid in question was Drennan micro braid. This is one of the reasons I stepped away from braided hook lengths and onto Magic touch mono, although this doesn't suit every situation.
  18. Tony since using this have you caught more fish?
  19. They will never snap, and unlike other hooks, you can use them over and over and over and over again. Great hooks.
  20. Gardener putty is what you want
