  2. i heard rumers that carp cant survive in the lake district due to something in the hills that when it rains, and carp cant survive in it cumbrria has 1 lake but its a holiday resort .the lake district is mainly a salmon / trout and pike resort
  3. tubing also sinks near your rig making it less detectable and also as mentioned prevents tangles and lifting of the scales but no you dont nead it but i like my rig concealment so id use it

  5. shrink tubing to me is essential(to me)as it helps the hook turn..more fish in the end and isnt complicated to use so i would use it
  6. to start with i would get esp sink link rather than coated matirials as these nead striping steaming if they kink so its easier to start simple and work up .......plus sink link is a beast and has caught thousands of carp
  7. i prefair leadcore and safe zone leaders but everyone to their own:D
  8. try steaming the line that you will thread then cut the line on an angle so it slides better
  9. ive said it once and ill say it again ...........deffo gamakashu long shank super sharp
  10. the hook link can be as near or far away from the lead as you need it .you can fish it right up the leader if your fishing in deep weed .the hook link is generally 3-5 inchs long when fishing pop ups the hooklink must have a curve ,the curve is important as this helps the hook spin around and catch hold of the bottom lip from what ever angle the fish approches at hope this helps
  11. best hook link for over gravil is without a doubt ESP sink link it sinks to the contors of the lake bed and sits tight to the deck(hence the name)i would use 2-4 inch hook links as the carp seem to get hooked easier than when using long hook links as the carp find it harder to eject the bait/hook link
  12. the pole.... well mono is more abraision resistant so i would use that over floro
  13. i agree the mag is a rip off but i no, no rig sites
