  1. i live 2 mins from it mate and have fished it all my life, i was on when this 'reported' 29 came out and all i will say is that the fish i saw held up to the camera wasnt 29. i have never had a 20 out of there abut i know of a fish that has come out 3 times at 24. now most of the lakes stock gets caught each year, so how he can say there is a brand new 29 is beyond me. he has just stocked 5000 more 3 to 4 inch carp in the top lake so in my honest opinion it isnt worth a bean let alone 7 quid a day to fish. look at some of the other unfished wigan pits for the real carp
  2. im only 17 mate, i just try and speak from my experience and try not to be big headed. that way you will meet like minded lads who yuo can chat with and they will take you seriously
  3. it said in youre location, and i quote,'im only 15 and a better fisherman then most if you', something along those lines anyway
  4. if you are using it like it is in the second pic make sure you use a bit of tubing to stop it coming off
  5. its them type of cockey and arrogant posts why people think of you like that
  6. for me i dont think that testing thing that was in the mags would work very well, from my experience of seeing carp take bait, while i have been sat up trees, the carp closes its mouth and tilts up, this is when most of my fish have ben hokked, so without a closing action on the testser i wouldnt put any faith in it what so ever im affraid
  7. its a very good idea and im not taking anything away form the fact you have invented a rig but i carnt see the point in it myself, if a fish is going to take the bait it will see the boilie first and eat that, so the corn is not really doing anything unless the boilie was a darker colour and the maize would give that bit of colour to the bait. nice one mate
  8. great rig, efficent hooking principles but quite hard to tie up correctly

  11. can you please explain how to tie a uni rig?
  12. braid: kryston silkworm and north wests own. flourocarbon: korda iq zig rigs: sensor clear. i have used silkworm for years and it has never failed me yet. north west's own is £3.99 for 10 meters and it is great for pop ups and combi rigs.
