withy pool rigs how easy to make

rite mvodkaman (mark) told me so much about this rig i fancy havin a bash at it ..... i no carp r us sell them already made but very £'s has anyone got a decent pic of it or info on makin the rig cheers simon

its just a long curved bit of shrink tube

 

it makes a G shape when finished if the shank is laying flat and point is above shank then the line is about an inch above point of hook

 

 

these are destructions and not really instructions :D :D

is si on about the 360 rig?????iv seen carp r us sell the bits to make these but not withy pool

 

 

in my oppinion the withy pool woundnt work that well but the 360 should never fail

The Withy Pool rig is no more a "bent" hook rig than the line aligner and is a very effective rig for pop ups when used correctly.It's like Beanz says basically it's a hook with a 180 degree curve of shrink tubing weighted either on the end of the tubing or on the braid to counterbalance/criically balance a pop up.

Personally I'd only use it where the fish have "wised" up to regular pop up rigs as it may be over complicating things on a runs water.Looks crude and ineffective but I guarantee you 99% of bites are converted to strong hookholds bang in the middle of the bottom lip.

The original withy is a bent hook rig and as such shouldnt be used but the modern take which is one that i use is a piece of shrink tubing with a curve steamed into it use a cork to put the curve ini ts a good presentation and works well i do recomend clear tubing or it can be a little crude

hello

i used this rig last winter and hooked every run i had right in the bottom in their bottom lip!!

i used it along with one of my home made pop-ups and would recommend this rig to anyone!!:D :D

cheers mark for the offer mitch smith made me 2 diff sorts when we was on oxlease monday . they dont seem to hard to master
