Rolls of PVA Bags

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have been continuously looking for rolls of uncut PVA bags, like the mesh refill rolls but for pva bags, is there such a thing? there must be as thats probably what happens before suppliers cut them into individual bags. if not, is there a reliable supplier i could contact and ask if they'll make it for me?

I'm familiar with the manufacturing process for packaging materials (bags) and assuming PVA is the same, the bags will be cut/sealed with heat in one operation (so prior to this process you'll just have one long PVA tube rather than a string of bags to be cut). If a tube is what you're after it's worth pursuing. If it's a string of bags you're after, you may be wasting your time.

Years ago Gardner Tackle did PVA mesh bags, I think 10 in a pack. They were joined together top to bottom, the tying handles being joined to the base of the bag above.

I presume as @yonny says the forming was done in a continuous press and cut.

I recently got some pva mesh from westmore pva, they do only seem to do mesh but they do, 60mm wide mesh if that helped. It's quite cheap but also very good.

Don't forget you will have to seal the bottom yourself, either a knot or heat treatment.

You could well be better going to a PVA mesh. If you put everything inside, then you will need a rigid filler, but with a split down the length of the tube.

Even then you will be cutting the length you want, putting onto the split tube, and then putting rig and line in etc.
