I've never used either of them tbh, I reckon both would work, bait is a personal thing, I've used baits people swear by and not caught on them, but that's probably not the baits fault, you just have to find one you are confident in, and that usually comes from results not other peoples opinions

I've used the mc nut and have friends that rate the Poacher gear.

They're both half decent baits. Pick the one YOU like the most and stick with it. They will both catch you carp.
