dont know where I read this now , but should you be bitter then use your own Urine on the bite as this will help take away the sting .

For a wasp or bee sting a handful of mud off the bank, and just slap it on.  Unless you're anaphylactic, then you'd better use your epipen.

Another one that should work for a bad bite is a crushed aspirin pressed into the bite, must of learnt more at BB than i remember,lol.

bicarbonate of soda for a bee sting
vinegar for a wasp sting

I found an old one I used last year trek sensitive, deet free but I had the front off and I didn't get bitten Friday, will use it again I think

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this but a mozzie mesh for your bivvy/brolly really helps, keep it closed from eve til morning and you barely get attacked indoors, I used 3 coats of skin so soft last night and whilst outside still got attacked, as soon as I went inside the mesh fortress, I was free of them pretty much, apart from 1 or 2 sneaky ones who must've got in whilst the drawbridge was down 😲
