Multi rig

Ive made a few multi rigs out of kryston snake skin, semi stiff, needed to steam to get it straight. Normally i use the esp coated soft stuff, i hope it doesnt lose its straightness when in the water and start to go coily. Any thoughts? Trying to adapt the rig but its hard to improve it

I use semi stiff for all my multi rigs,steams nice and straight and never had no problems with them

Yeah thats what i thought, didnt want to be sat behind coiled up rigs

I've had a few fish on the same rig,never had a problem with any coiling after a good steam.

Take a look at ESP Tungsten Loaded Phil, no steaming required, pulls straight, and stays straight.

For fluro, check Rig Marole CAMH20, same, no steaming required.

Realised the other week ive been using the same hooklength for 2 months! Bit like triggers broom, new hook and swivel but same hooklength

I set my rigs so they fall flat,with the aid of 2 bits of rig foam.a nice slow drop on a straight hooklink the hook comes into contact weight wise as soon as the hook pricks the lip. I use N-Trap can't get on with snakeskin tho,as much as I try the coating splits as I tighten my knots

I use the rig foam to catty a few freebies over I sumtimes over weight my pop ups if the fish are on a munch

I normally do like a nice spread over my hookbait but my local been fishing slow the last few wks and the fish I had was over a few baits cattied over an overweight pop up

I'll be honest,yes. Mainly in the spring when fishing the shallower water. I hatched a plan last year. Hemp,French maize,tares and a few chopped Krill boilies with a 10mm pop up fished over. Half a loaf fed up water then a cast out. Plan sorted...... NOT. After they finished there bread they just made there way down and spent the next half hr looking and finding my baits

Have you tried reasonably fast breakdown pellets BC

Leaves you with plenty of attraction in your area but nothing for them to pick up .

Except the hookbait ! They find it every time !

It's about giving them very little to home in on & prevent them staying on your spot the entire time, if you feed boilies they won't leave you alone that's for sure .

Horseshoe can be a nightmare for them .

Maybe shrink tube has a place somewhere? When i get a strange bite im constantly thinking the pop ups been moved up the shank of the hook, bit of shrink tube would make it more secure possibly

I use shrink tube on a multi rig sometimes.... it's a one bite rig tho.
