Carpbell_ll Posted August 12, 2020 Report Share Posted August 12, 2020 Just a thought on the elastic rigs might want to run it past the lake owner most places will kick you off for using such a rig, they were popular back in the 90s as an adaption of the method rig, most waters that seen them banned them even today's method feeders no longer have the laggy band. Indeed, that elastic through the method feeder could leave a fish trailing hook, and feeder if the mainline snapped, and aggressive takes could easily snap you up. Years ago I used to put a length of soft tubing over the hooklink swivel with a braid hooklink. Before the cast stretch the tubing down the hooklink, and allow it to retract. The method feeder was allowed on most waters as it was used for low doubles mainly, it was the threading of elastic into braid for a bigger fish rig that seen the elastic method feeder banned. think it was one of those rigs that looked good to the angler.
