fordmad1 Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 As above if you only had one rig to use for each what would they be? Quote
james666 Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 For a bottom bait, if i could only use one rig for the rest of my life then it would be a standard hair rig with a knotless knot. Its ideal for plenty of situations and i reckon that its very under fished at many busy waters. As for a pop up, id properly go with either a chod set up or a zig style set up, both are great to present baits. Quote
snowman01 Posted June 30, 2013 Report Posted June 30, 2013 3rd for combi, stiff boom braid end section all the way for me! Quote
jules007 Posted June 30, 2013 Report Posted June 30, 2013 these days i tend to use same rig blow back for bottom or pop up, i tie a few up and if i go with a pop up i just nip a shot on Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 A standard rig? A D-rig is my standard pop-up rig, and it also works nicely with snowman bait set-ups. As for bottom bait, a knotless knotted hook with a decent length hair and a line aligner. The good thing about a knotless knot is that by adding a piece of shrink or silicone tubing can be converted to a line aligner easily. Now my comment about a standard rig is that every rig may well be constructed exactly the same, but you can change it by your choice of hooklink materials; braid coated or not, mono, fluorocarbon, combi-rig.
