how to make zig rigs

probaly a silly question but i have never used zig rig and would like to no if any 1 could tel me how to make them, as im off to linear complex end of the month and been told its really weedy there and zig is the best way to fish it, advice from other members would be great thanks guys....

like all other have mentioned, search u tube bud. only advice to give mate is when selecting the the depth you want to fish at, start with the longest, then work shorter. you can always take some off but you cant add it. sounds obvious i know but you have to find what level the fish are at.

fishing linear myself at the end of the month also. see you on the bank

How long would you reccomend leaving a rod out with a 5ft zig before reducing it???

 

common sense would say it varys if you no there are fish in the swim???

 

but in general?

If there is fish showing leave it out longer than if there is no motion in the swim, to keep the disturbance down to a minimum. I have heard a lot of people are catching a lot of fish with just using a trimmed down bit of black foam on the hair when zig fishing. give it a try mate with a sloppy spod mix over the top to cloud up the swim bud.
