Thumbs up to you carpling for asking the question, u were obviousley unsure yourself! at least you have a better idea now! The thing i do when unsure about rigs or setups is check google images or watch a vid on utube. you can get more info on stuff like this from pics than people trying to explain it!

very helpfull where you been fishing at the moment? how big you after?

How long would you reccomend leaving a rod out with a 5ft zig before reducing it??? common sense would say it varys if you no there are fish in the swim??? but in general?

hi mate how u getting on with blackfords (Turf pool) i only live pelsall n ive just had a wander round as people have mentioned it on here! spoke to a few chaps on there and was assured there were some 25+ carp in there! unsure if i quite belive them YET! Will go have another look at the other pools the weekend and if like the look may join!

I hate this place! done my first 24 hour there the other day! Had that many fish it was unbelivable! but so did every1 else! The state of the fish is not a nice sight! it looks nice to fish but with the water being so low at times there were people dragging carp accros the floor to there nets because they were stupid enouth not to take suitable footwear! never thought i would say catching carp is boring but i will never return again! If you wat to catch loads of batterd carp weights between 12 - 20 Ib! Its the place u wanna be! But certinally NOT for me!

thats good to hear buddy! last year i brought audi a4 cabby and now im limited to where people can give me lift to! so im 100% checking that out! Im afraid my love for fishing is too strong and now the car has to go! u fished there m8?

im with you mate only after bigger carp now, but if blackfords has 1 30 lber in it im happy paying £40 for a year and work hard ay getting that baby out! smaller carp will be welcomed along the way!

i only live in pelsall. that blackfords is only around the corner right?? what do i do about finding out where these pools are? i no the 1 by the turf but gates wer locked when went to drive on there last year! what size carp we looking at in these pools? im after a syndicate soon 300-400 aint bad for me as long as decent head - sized carp! and will travel upto a hour away!

haha this made me laff, I fished there quite a few times and agree fish are immaculate. Ive only blanked on 1 occasion out of 7! biggest of 24lb! i was gonna have a go this summer but think im gonna try sumwer else! Any suggestions??? The gaffers name is clive + if ur on the bank he wont come collect the cash as he cant get his fat ass back up the banking! if any1 goes there try peg 2 or 3 fish about 6ft off the island plenty of pellets and broken boileys! or 5/6 and fish right upto the fallen tree! If u dont want any1 coming round the bank. Before you empty ur kit just pop to the caravan u wont miss it the dogs r crazy, pay there nobody will bother you! How did u get on (CARP SHARPE)????

i used to fish it alot only used to be £5 per rod but i still stuck 2 out and paid for 1, i never had a bad day there, if your after carp from 4 - 10 pound its sound i caught 9 in 6 hours, worst day ive had is about 6! but wouldnt pay £10 a rod no chance No text talk please
