oggy86 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 hi all, currently my club water has "no braided hooklink ban". The water is about 2o ft deep on average with no features or snags and a firm bottom, it's quite well stocked but also recieves quite a bit of angling presure. Any suitable rig ideas would be much appreciated thanks Andy Quote
Guest keenook Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hello Andy, what are you using now??? Quote
oggy86 Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 i've been using a d rig with bottom bait on, with varying degree's of success, but i'm not very confident in the presentation Quote
cobleyn Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hinged stiff link with a longshank nailer. Pop up held in place between two rubber grommets on the shank of the hook. Or zig. Quote
matt0114 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 combi rig use a korda kaptor hook loads of shrink tube 2-3inches of braid and for the mono section i use kordas chod filament instead of normal mono because it is much stiffer Quote
jules007 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 "2-3inches of braid" think the op said no braid Quote
morkey11 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Youve got a few options mate all depends on hat you prefer to use, A few people aswell as me will tell you to use a stiff pop-up rig either chod, hinge or combi. But other good ideas are normal hair rigs tied with a good fluorocarbon and simple bottom baits Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 get on a standard knotless knot tied with flurocarcbon mate, nothing very complicated and at say 8 inch, worth a bash and make sure your hook is sticky sharp Quote
