jemsue5 Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 It is run by Rod and Gun tackle shop in Dawley. Day tickets need to be bought from the shop in advance they are not available on the bank and trust me you do not want to get on the wrong side of Gus the bailiff. No night fishing unless you are a syndicate member for which their is a waiting list(speak to Duncan in the shop). There are some nice looking fish upto a20+ in the water but it doesnt fish well in the winter as its so deep about 35ft deepest and 20ft on average. Only a limited amount of day tickets sold on a daily basis so as to leave room for us syndicate members. They also control another water in wenlock which is a far better bet for a run this time of the year a lot shallower with a large stock of high singles and low doubles. alfredo839 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 hope so ive been having a look round with me marker float (making a nice little map) when ive had a spare hr or so. id love to find an old picture of the place before all the water,no joy so far. apparently it was used for matches yrs ago with lots of tench and big bream. like i say im a newbie and know nothing about this pool apart from a few perch i think its just carp.
