Plenty of silver fish, a few chub, fewer barbel and even fewer carp.

It is fairly snaggy, there are not that many carp in the actual weir section as the carp are pretty nomadic along the river.

This brings back soo many memories for me,I was'nt much past the jam jar on a piece of string and net on a cane stage in my fishing career,so I'm afraid I can't help you much...It was 50 years ago after all...

I fished it a few times in the summer early autum, saw a few carp! didnt catch any mind to many bloody crays!! although if you persevere can catch some nice chub and barbel. more chance of the carp further down towards carthagena wier Or if your really lucky.............. hook something winding in it looks like a dead baby, but luckily it was a dead cat with no fur.
